SFO INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL EXPANSION

Major expansion of the San Francisco International Airport. Contract services included all off-site structural steel fabrication and all on-site structural steel erection for the complete structural steel package. Structural steel fabrication was performed at multiple facilities including the Herrick Company (Stockton Steel), San Bernardino Steel, PDM Strocal, Canron Portland and British Columbia, and Corey S.A. in the State of Jalisco, Guadalajara, Mexico.

ORA was engaged to perform all structural steel fabrication inspections at the Canron New Westminster facility (British Columbia, Canada), and included all material identification and mill certifications, welder qualification and certifications, weld procedure specifications (WPS) review and approval, fitup, preheating and post heating, welding of complete penetration and single/multiple pass welds, nondestructive testing (Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant Methods), high strength bolts and shop application of two-part epoxy finishes.

 

ANC TERMINAL C REDEVELOPMENT

Major renovation to the Anchorage International Airport in Alaska. Contract services included all offshore structural steel fabrication for the complete structural steel package. Structural steel was fabricated at the facilities of Hyundai Heavy Industries, South Korea. Specific duties include material identification and mill certifications, welder qualification and certifications, weld procedure specifications (WPS) review and approval, fitup, preheating and post heating, welding of complete penetration and single/multiple pass welds, nondestructive testing (Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant Methods), high strength bolts and shop application of two-part epoxy finishes.

 

SEA AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER

Supporting the FAA Seattle Center air traffic control operations, this project incorporates a complete replacement airport traffic control tower and the establishment of an administrative base building at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Otto Rosenau & Associates, Inc. was involved in the construction inspection and material testing of all structural components including: soils, reinforced concrete, glass fiber reinforced concrete panel fabrication, structural steel fabrication, and other duties.
