Capabilities

Our in-house laboratory is capable of various materials testing such as soils/aggregate and asphalt testing, fine soils/earth sciences, fireproofing, concrete, and masonry.

ORA materials laboratory participates in inter-laboratory proficiency testing programs as administered by the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials and is governed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. All nondestructive steel examinations are performed to the specific requirements of the American Welding Society and the American Society for Nondestructive Testing. Presently, ORA participates in programs for concrete, concrete masonry units, fine soils, coarse and fine aggregates, as well as hot mix asphalt.

All equipment is maintained and calibrated in accordance with our Quality System Manual. All procedures are performed in accordance with our quality manual, which supports our laboratory accreditation, and are performed in accordance with strict procedures and guidelines of:
