ORA Feature Project

East D Street Grade Separation and East L Street Bridge Replacement

This $22.5 million project provides for 0.28 miles of roadway improvements, sanitary sewer, and waterline updates along with bridge construction. ORA was engaged to provide testing and inspection services in accordance to WSDOT specifications. We provided testing and inspection for 42,000 yd³ of backfill material and geotechnical inspections of stone columns, drilled shafts/caissons, and mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls. Our testing and inspection scope of work also included the following items:

• Batch Plant Inspection – Concrete and Asphalt
• Hot Mix Asphalt Paving
• Soil Bearing Verification
• Soil Compaction
• Pre-Stressed Girder Fabrication      
• Reinforced Concrete
• Bolts Installed in Concrete
• Ground Anchor System Inspection
• Structural Steel Welding and Details
• High-Strength Bolts
