JOINT TRAINING FACILITY

The Joint Training Facility is built
in a new secured campus on a 13-acre site in South Seattle as a joint
field and classroom training space for the Seattle Fire Department,
Seattle Public Utilities, and Seattle Department of Transportation. The
facility consists of five training structures, including a drill tower,
a collapsed building, a state-of-the-art burn building, a trench/
confined safety prop, and an overpass and vehicle extraction prop. Four
support buildings were also included - the classroom training building,
apparatus bay building, pavilion building, and materials storage
building. ORA was engaged to provide testing and inspection services of

NORTHGATE LIBRARY, COMMUNITY CENTER,
AND URBAN PARK

The project is a joint venture, co-location project between Seattle
Parks and Recreation and The Seattle Public Library. The project
consisted of a new 10,000 ft2 library, a 20,000 ft2
community center, as well as a new 1.67-acre urban park located on a
3.55-acre site in Northgate. This project achieved the LEED Gold
certification. ORA was engaged to
provide testing and inspection services of the following items:
reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, expansion anchor bolt
installation, anchor bolt installation, structural steel, steel decking,
steel joist erection, structural steel embedment in concrete.
LAKEWOOD COMMUTER RAIL STATION CMC
Lakewood, Washington
Owner: Sound Transit
The construction of the
Lakewood Station included a side platform for passengers, as well as
shelters and kiosks to purchase tickets. A new parking garage near the
station provides more than 600 parking spaces for commuters. ORA was
engaged by the construction manager to provide testing and inspection
services: reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, epoxy grouting,
wedge anchor installation, and structural steel erection.
GRAHAM FIRE STATIONS NO. 5 AND NO. 6

Fire Station No. 5 project involves
construction of a 7,840 ft2 single-story wood-framed fire
station with 598 ft2 mezzanine in the Frederickson Community.
The identical Fire Station No. 6 project involves construction of a new
9,816 ft2 single-story wood-framed fire station with 598 ft2
mezzanine in Puyallup. ORA was engaged to provide testing and inspection
services to include reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, lateral
framing, epoxy-grouted anchors, and structural steel.
